Epling Estates created the Community Cash program in 2001 as a tangible way to simultaneously thank our customers and give back to our local community. This program allows us to reward the customers who make our business successful and fun. At the same time, we get to share our successes by investing into our community, so that we all have a positive future. Here is how the program works. Each month we draw from a raffle drum containing the addresses of every property Epling Estates manages. (The monthly rent must be greater than $350 in order for the address to be placed in the drum.) The customer for the property selected is the winner so long as their accounts receivable is current on the day of the drawing. If the customer has a past due balance or the selected property is vacant, another address is drawn until a winner is declared. The winner triumphs twofold. First, Community Cash rewards our faithfully-paying customers by issuing them a check for $50. Second, we give back to our community by issuing a check for $50 to a charity selected by our monthly winner. Winning customers may choose any charity they feel passionate about as long as they are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. At its heart, the program is designed to serve our local community, so nonprofits located where we live and work, like school districts, police & fire departments, animal shelters, and home churches, are encouraged. The names of the winning customer and charity are published in the monthly Epling Estates Communicates newsletter – a true win-win! The logos featured on this page are just some of the past winning organizations. What an appropriate visual representation to have the description of this special program surrounded by groups that serve, help, and care. Epling Estates’ charitable contributions over many years have made and will continue to make meaningful impacts through Community Cash. |
